GRP Composite Infill Formwork Panels

permadec-complete-solution

Permadec Composite Panels are ribless GRP permanent formwork designed for short-span infill applications such as Super-T bridge voids and precast plank decks. Lightweight and manufactured to size, they provide a cost-effective and efficient alternative to traditional infill formwork without the need for propping or fixings.

Permadec Composite Panels are permanent GRP formwork panels manufactured without steel ribs and designed for short-span applications. Typical spans extend up to 1.5 m and deck depths of up to 450 mm, subject to project-specific design parameters.

Panels are commonly used within Super-T bridge decks, tee roff voids and closely spaced precast plank arrangements. They are designed to sit onto precast rebates or steel top flanges without the requirement for additional fixings or propping.

The ribless profile provides a flat soffit and eliminates protrusions into the deck zone, allowing reinforcement to be staged without interference. Panels may be installed in the precast yard prior to beam delivery.

Composite Panels are available in 18 mm or 38 mm thicknesses. Where exposed, they provide a high-quality finished soffit.

"EMJ Plastics Limited were engaged to design, manufacture and deliver permanent formwork panels (Permadec) for a new road bridge in Newhaven, East Sussex. They were superb throughout the procurement, design and manufacturing stage. The Permadec system is extremely fast and easy to install especially when using the lifting frame to load out multiple panels at a time. The system seals really well requiring no additional protection when pouring the concrete deck above, even when working over a live railway. I would happily use this system and EMJ Plastics Ltd again."
